It was on a narrow dock and not accessible for maintenance. Geese have nested the past 2 seasons. 2023, the male and female osprey arrived after the geese began incubating eggs and they remained at the nest area but did not claim the nest after the goose left. This season the male osprey arrived 1 week after the goose started incubating but did not remain in the nest territory and has not been seen recently. The female osprey did not arrive as of today, 4-26-24. The platform location on a dock where many people kayak and want to crab and fish was never a safe location. Since no adult ospreys are now at the territory it is the best time to remove the structure. | ||||||
