Note: Site check for CIB osprey survey, snag nest still intact. 3 snag nests remain visible from the trail bridge: this "water treatment" snag, plus #2 and #3 snags. Snag #1 no longer standing, may have been mistaken through the trees for Bay Vista Woods/Canal Snag that is located across the canal and visible from the end of the trail.

Note: Appears to be a female on nest, with an obvious necklace. The platform lost all nest material over the winter, in addition a new platform was placed, without a permit much too close to this platform. To add to the future drama, another platform nearby, Channel Marker 9, fell during the icing, so this will be an interesting colony to watch.
