May 17 | baygirl | 2 | U | N | incubation
Note: | This pair may be same pair that’s floated around snags here and at Betheny Nature Center but this is a different snag nest, it’s on the pond instead of canal way west, I’ll use both names so not to confuse , male perches in tree to west of nest dead tree, tree has a ribbon around it so hopefully not cut anytime soon
June 6 | baygirl | 2 | U | N | incubation
Note: | One on nearby favored snag, one visible deep in nest
June 11 | baygirl | 2 | U | N | |||

July 31 | baygirl | 1 | N | U | |||
Note: | Adult in nest, appears to be shading, chick must be younger as I can not see anything from my vantage pts, it’s a very tall snag nest
August 10 | baygirl | 1 | N | 1 | young standing
Note: | 1 chick, appears about 7 weeks, looks like the male on nest but not sure
August 12 | baygirl | 1 | N | 1 | young standing
Note: | Adult female on dead branch of tree nest, chick looks full grown , in nest fluffing wings and jumping, calling for fish, I expect fledge has occurred or will very soon , nice to see a female at a nest |
