| Note: | One on the nest again. Presumably the male came by and circled overhead in the warm afternoon thermals | ||||||
| April 12 | 12026 | wmcdonald | 2 | N | N | ||
| Note: | The nest platform is destroyed and the nest is gone. The female I presume was perched on a nearby tree which is common. When I approached she flew away. I found her at the nearby "shooting range" nest that is another platform/box but had no nest in 2025. I hope they build one here. She flew back and her partner I assume returned and they went back to the damaged substation pole and I saw mating behaviors. Devastating | ||||||
| April 12 | 12025 | wmcdonald | 1 | N | N | ||
| Note: | Osprey from substation pole came here while I was checking the nests for first time this year. There is no nest here either. | ||||||
| April 12 | 12186 | wmcdonald | 0 | N | N | ||
| Note: | Believe the nest is gone. | ||||||
| April 12 | 12184 | wmcdonald | 2 | N | N | ||
| Note: | Female in nest - male came by while I was here. Witnessed copulation behavior multiple times. | ||||||
| April 12 | 12185 | wmcdonald | 0 | N | N | ||
| Note: | the nest is gone just a few strands remain | ||||||
| April 12 | 12022 | wmcdonald | 1 | N | N | ||
| Note: | See one osprey in the nest. Possible the mate was flying nearby but didn't come to the nest. | ||||||
| April 12 | 12024 | wmcdonald | 0 | N | N | ||
| Note: | The nest is gone. The surrounding foliage has been clear cut and destroyed. I had a hard time processing it. Hope the ospreys are more resilient than people. | ||||||
| April 18 | 12046 | wmcdonald | 2 | N | N | ||
| Note: | I assume the female was perched on the actual water tower . several other ospreys circled the field while we were there. the nest platform had no osprey on it . | ||||||
| April 18 | 12051 | wmcdonald | 2 | U | N | incubation | |
| Note: | saw one adult come to the nest and then the other emerged and they swapped places inside - assume they are incubating. | ||||||
| April 27 | 12026 | wmcdonald | 1 | N | N | ||
| Note: | The nest has been rebuilt! Osprey remained in them center the whole time I was there even when I walked by to check the other one. Probably incubating | ||||||
| April 27 | 12025 | wmcdonald | 0 | N | N | ||
| Note: | no nest this year | ||||||
| April 27 | 12186 | wmcdonald | 1 | U | N | incubation | |
| Note: | The nest has been rebuilt! Osprey was in the middle the whole time I was there. Believe I saw its mate flying around then landed on the pole with the nest | ||||||
