Note: 11:15-11:30 a.m. I went past on another errand, so I looked at the tower to see if the eagles had returned as it is the start of eagle courtship season. The nest looked like it had collapsed down from the top of the metal structure. The eagles appeared to nest here for a couple months last season, then abandoned their nest. It hasn't been occupied yet this season.

Note: 9:30 - 9:45 a.m. The facility was open, so I was able to drive in and view the tower from several different angles. A female osprey was sitting on the edge of the nest which appeared to have been built up with sticks from when I last saw it in January. I did not see a male and the female did not appear to be brooding or incubating.

Note: 8:50-9:00 a.m. A female osprey was sitting on the edge of the nest looking out over the terrain. I did not see the male. She still did not seem to be incubating or brooding eggs or chicks.

Note: 11:45 am - 12:15 pm. For the first time this season, I saw a pair of ospreys on the nest. It is late in the season so I would assume they won't have a clutch of eggs, but I was glad to see the ospreys are back.
June 29 CyclistBarb 1 N N
Note: 9:45 - 9:50 a.m. I could not stay long and viewed the tower from a distance so I was not sure whether or not both of the ospreys were on the nest or just one.
July 10 CyclistBarb 0 N N
Note: 11:40 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. I did not see any osprey on the nest, perched on the structure, or flying around the area. It was clear last time that they were getting a late start and wouldn't have eggs. I hope next season is more productive!
