February 15 | 782 | LauraLOVESbirds | 0 | N | N
Note: | Making this entry (off season) to report: American Kestrel was at the former Osprey nest
February 24 | 6774 | LauraLOVESbirds | 1 | U | N
Note: | The Osprey settled into the center of the top of the cell tower versus perching on the edge of the top of the cell tower. This is earliest documented annual arrival to this nest to-date. Previous season’s arrival: 2/25/19, 3/1/23, 3/11/24.
February 24 | 5534 | LauraLOVESbirds | 1 | U | N
Note: | Perched on top of cell tower. This is earliest documented annual arrival to this nest to-date. https://app.osprey-watch.org/nest/5534 lists previous season’s arrivals as: 3/2/2023, 3/03/2024.

Note: | One Starling at top of cell tower - near last year’s nest
February 26 | 6774 | LauraLOVESbirds | 1 | U | N
Note: | From I-464 N, I watched an Osprey ascend from the Berkley Bridge area, fly up to the cell tower and land in the center of the top where the nest is. A moment later, the Osprey left the cell tower descending towards the east. (Likely nest building.) This was 70 minutes after sunrise.
February 28 | 7886 | LauraLOVESbirds | 1 | U | N
Note: | Osprey was standing on top of cell tower near former nest. Think I saw a second flying away - descending from the top of the cell tower. I could not confirm; so just listing one.
March 1 | 7307 | LauraLOVESbirds | 0 | N | N
Note: | 47°F, sunny and clear sky. 6:35 AM sunrise.

Note: | Two Ospreys together on top of cell tower
March 8 | 11215 | LauraLOVESbirds | 2 | U | N
Note: | Both Ospreys were together on top of the cell tower. One Osprey was on new short nest on top of cell tower - with second Osprey perched beside it. (Returned today, because I saw one Osprey here yesterday; and because this is a new nest location that I wanted to be sure was added to this site.)
March 8 | 6848 | LauraLOVESbirds | 0 | N | N
Note: | No remnants of last year’s nest left. (Taken down?) long wire running from ground to/near camera. Camera is about halfway up the height of the tower. LOTS of litter on the ground and in the runoff water between tower and highway.

Note: | Photoed Red-tailed Hawk perched on lower level of cell tower - under level where Osprey nest was in prior seasons. https://ebird.org/checklist/S217421374
