Date Watcher Adults Eggs Young Observations Photo Edit
June 20 CyclistBarb 1 N N
Note: 1:35 - 1:40 p.m. The nest has been rebuilt and now rests on the platform instead of balanced on top of the posts/railings. One adult, presumably the female, was sitting low in the nest either brooding tiny chicks or still incubating.
July 12 CyclistBarb 0 N 2 young standing
Note: 11:45 a.m.-12:10 p.m. The two big chicks were sitting on the edge of the nest looking south. I did not see either parent.
August 2 CyclistBarb 0 N 2 young standing
Note: 11:40 a.m. -12:00 p.m. One fledgling was perched on the top of the structure surrounding the platform above the nest. The other was in the nest. The fledgling in the nest then flew off, circled around, and appeared to push its sibling off and into flight. The two of them appeared to be "playing" with each other, circling around above the nest, enjoying their new freedom of flight. Then they landed on opposite sides of the top structure. Both fledglings were very vocal with constant calling.
