Note: | 11:55 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. The nest material was still on top of the tower. Some had fallen down to the upper platform. I saw no ospreys at the tower or flying nearby. I watch from the top of a long, downhill driveway accessed via Oberly Rd. It is now blocked off and marked "Wildlife Management Area" and "No Unauthorized Vehicles". It leads to what I thought was a far which is also accessible via a now chained off road from Carpentersville Rd. at the other end of Oberly Rd.

Note: | 11:30 - 11:45 a.m. One adult was on a post. More of the nest itself seems to have fallen to the platform. I haven't seen a pair or any activity at this tower. The adult had its back toward me so I could not tell if it was male or female.
August 2 | CyclistBarb | 0 | N | N
Note: | 12:00 p.m. On the way to Truck Stop I took Oberly Rd and as I passed the quarry tower, I took a quick look. Nothing had changed. No osprey seen. Nest abandoned this season. |
