March 19 CyclistBarb 0 N N
Note: 9:00 a.m. - 15:00 p.m. We finally got word that the utility pole, donated by PSEG, had been delivered to the Old Village Farm in Holland Twp. I was out in time to meet the installers and Eric, the farmer, in order to finally erect this platform in time for the return of the ospreys. I had built the platform and delivered it to Eric a year ago! Eric had cleared the location where he had run an electric line for the camera he installed above the platform. The installers were very professional and affirmed that the pole and platform were secure.

Note: 12:50 - 1:00 p.m. I had hoped the osprey pair would have returned to the newly installed platform and tower, but I saw no sign of them in the area. I will come back early some morning.
June 20 CyclistBarb 0 N N
Note: 2:20-2:30 p.m. Unfortunately, after all our trouble to reinstall the pole and platform, the osprey pair has not returned. It is possible that March 19 was too late. Perhaps the pair already found another spot to nest. I hope that in the future, some osprey pair will nest here.
July 12 CyclistBarb 0 N N
Note: 2:05 - 2:25 p.m. The tower and platform remain empty. The very few sticks that I wove into the screen on the bottom of the platform when I built it are the only sticks visible on this platform this year. I saw no osprey in the trees or flying over the field.
August 2 CyclistBarb 0 N N
Note: 10:50-11:00 a.m. The tower/platform remains abandoned this season.
