Description
This nest is a platform on top of a power pole along the entrance road to Back Bay national Wildlife Refuge. The nest has been there for about 20 years. There was a fire on this utility pole on Thanksgiving day 2014. The osprey platform was damages and removed by Dominion Virginia Power. A separate pole and platform were installed by DVP and BBNWR on Feb 3, 2015.
