Date Nest Watcher Adults Eggs Young Observations
March 10 1115 Barbara "Wolfheart" 2 N N
Note: One Osprey has been at the nest for 2 days, today is the first time I have seen both M/F in the nest. I am still concerned as there is HEAVY CONSTRUCTION in this area, with construction material being within 20 feet of this tree/nest.
March 17 1115 Barbara "Wolfheart" 1 N N
Note: Appears Female is in the nest. Both male and female were present yesterday, male was gathering sticks. Today at 3:30pm there is a deceased male in the road directly in front of the nest. I can not get to him as the traffic is non stop, but there are sticks nearby. Appears he has been deceased for a bit today. Heartbreaking. Reported to VBAC for retrieval.
March 19 3721 Barbara "Wolfheart" 2 N N
Note: Both F/M at Nest. M collecting sticks, nice bowl shaped nest. Both vocal. 2:04pm
March 21 9051 Barbara "Wolfheart" 2 N N
Note: Mating Ritual observed today. F in nest, M had fish, etc.
March 21 9185 Barbara "Wolfheart" 2 N N
Note: Both present at nest today, top of cell tower. Very vocal.
March 26 1115 Barbara "Wolfheart" 2 N N
Note: F has not been seen in the area since a day or so after I found a M deceased in the road on 3/17/26. Today she is back IN the nest with a Male to the side. Will need to take back my lens to conform if this is a new male/mate, I suspect it is. 4:20pm
March 26 9055 Barbara "Wolfheart" 0 N N
Note: No signs of the nest in the original pine tree. No Osprey seen or heard in the immediate area. 4:00pm
March 26 9181 Barbara "Wolfheart" 0 N N
Note: Nest is no longer here. No Ospreys seen or heard in the immediate area. 4:00pm
March 29 1115 Barbara "Wolfheart" 2 N N incubation
Note: F was in the nest upon arrival. She does not leave. Male bought her a fish to the nest, F took fish and flew to a nearby tree. Male sat down in nest. We couldn't get a clear photo of his chest. I am now wondering if the M found deceased on 3/10 in the road was the original M from this nest. The couple here act as if Incubation is in progress today. Definitely same F as years past. 1:30pm
April 20 1115 Barbara "Wolfheart" 2 U N incubation
Note: Male brings in fish. F flies off with fish. M sits down in the nest.
May 23 1115 Barbara "Wolfheart" 2 N U
Note: F has been in the nest showing signs of Incubation until this week when she stands just to the right of the "bowl" of the nest. Male flying overhead. Vocal.
May 23 9051 Barbara "Wolfheart" 2 Y U
Note: F in the nest. Stands to the side. M on a nearby pole. Though we saw two very little heads pop up, wobbly. Lots of excrement on the tennis courts just below.
May 23 9051 Barbara "Wolfheart" 2 N 2
Note: Appeared as if 2 very wobbly little heads popped up while mom's head was in nest at the same time. Could be 3, nest is high and heads appeared at different times, but definitely witnessed 2 heads at the same time.
May 31 1115 Barbara "Wolfheart" 1 N U
Note: F has been standing to the side of the nest all week. Nest is deep, but she often puts her head down into the nest today. Vocal. Heavy construction still in the area woth a new paved road within 200 feet of nest.
May 31 3721 Barbara "Wolfheart" 1 N U
Note: F standing to the side of the nest. Vocal. Put head on the nest a few times. Can not verify how many young yet.
May 31 9051 Barbara "Wolfheart" 2 N U
Note: M was on a pole adjacent to the nest, he brought fish. F did not leave the nest, standing to the side. Very vocal.
June 8 9430 Barbara "Wolfheart" 2 N N
Note: There were actually 3 adults present at the area of the nest today. The F was standing to the side of the nest, and was vocal; however after about 20 mins she and the M left and went fishing, leaving the nest unattended. The 3rd Osprey soared around overhead and then left, too.
June 8 1115 Barbara "Wolfheart" 2 U N
Note: I feel strongly there are young now in this nest, nest is very deep. F stands to the side and is always present mo matter the time I come by. Beautiful nest - but it has even more construction material including pipes and rocks dumped within 50 feet of it today.
