Note: | 11:05-11:10 a.m. I checked this wooden nest platform which has always been empty and unused. Instead of having to drive a mile into the Meadows on Island Rd, I discovered I could see the platform from the back parking lot of the little bar and grill we have eaten at several times when doing amphibian crossings on Hope Rd. Again, this year, the platform is empty/unused. Once again there appeared to be a bird perched on the tower. I was too far away to determine if this was an osprey. In the photo, it looks almost like a juvenile hawk. In any case, there is no nest on this platform. |
