Note: Day 37 (May 21) at ~6:45pm: Dad arrives with dinner for Mom, she eagerly grabs it, and he cares for the eggs while she enjoys some private time. Hopefully we'll have a hatchling soon for this wonderful pair, who have been remodeling and sharing incubation time all day!

June 5 8765 catbird 2 N 3 feeding, young laying down
June 11 8765 catbird 1 N 3 young laying down
Note: Have not seen a fish delivered to the nest in the last 36 hours. Dad osprey showed up around 6am this morning with just a small bite for Mom but nothing for the chicks. Hopefully fishing will improve today.
June 11 8765 catbird 2 N 3 feeding, young laying down
Note: Update: big fish delivered at ~2:30pm on June 11th. Pecking order began in earnest today; lots of attacks by biggest chick to secure their place, especially after going so long without feeding. The other two chicks didn't get much, if anything, from this feeding.
June 11 8765 catbird 2 N 3 feeding, young laying down
Note: Update 2: A little before 4:30pm today Mom took off for about 8min, seemingly leaving young chicks alone, and came back with a very big fish. Dad showed up about 30min later with very small tail of a fish. Mom and the 3 chicks devoured the big fish and then the tail. The two biggest got most of the food; hopefully the little one got enough. She is looking out for them.
June 12 8765 catbird 1 N 3 young laying down
Note: A small fish tail was delivered by Dad osprey early this morning, but I have not observed via webcam any other feedings or Dad again today. Mom has left the nest a few times for more than 10 minutes and returned with no fish.
June 13 8765 catbird 1 N 3 feeding, young laying down
Note: Dad showed up empty handed early this morning. Mom left nest and brought back a fish. The biggest two chicks were well fed and kept the little one from getting any. Worried he won't make it if this keeps up.
June 13 8765 catbird 1 N 2 young laying down
Note: The little one fought to the end but unfortunately it looks like they died around noon today.
