|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| July 5 | catbird | 1 | N | 1 | feeding, young standing | ||
| Note: | Have been watching this nest on-and-off for a few months and confirmed it had not been documented on Osprey Watch. A nesting pair arrived in the spring; exact date unknown. Feeding observed tonight by female osprey, assume it's Mom by her markings and size, and one chick. | ||||||

| July 20 | catbird | 1 | N | 1 | young standing | ||
| Note: | Lots of helicoptering in the nest this morning, with Mom osprey staying close by. | ||||||
| July 21 | catbird | 1 | N | 1 | feeding, young standing | ||
| July 28 | catbird | 0 | N | 1 | young standing | ||
| Note: | I check this nest only occasionally, and have not seen the chick fledge or Mom feeding in recent days. However, the chick looks very strong and healthy so I think I am just not observing Mom, feeding, and flying at the time they are happening. | ||||||
| July 30 | catbird | 1 | N | 1 | young standing | ||
| Note: | Mom and chick both flew in while I was watching the nest! I'll record today as fledging, though I suspect it happened at least a week ago. | ||||||
| July 30 | catbird | 0 | N | 1 | feeding, young standing | ||
| Note: | Junior looks to be having a nice meal. I did not observe who delivered it, but guessing its Mom. | ||||||
| August 1 | catbird | 0 | N | 1 | feeding, young standing | ||
| Note: | Fledgling seems to be doing OK, thank goodness. There was a very large bald eagle within a few hundred feet of this nest today; other ospreys in the area were dive-bombing/attacking it as the eagle struggled to defend itself on the shore. It finally was able to fly off with ospreys in chase. | ||||||
