Date Watcher Adults Eggs Young Observations Photo Edit
April 23 CyclistBarb 0 N N
Note: 1:00-1:30 p.m. I saw no sign of the osprey from either Mt Joy Rd, or from the parking area across from the Fire Hall.
June 20 CyclistBarb 2 N 1 young laying down
Note: 2:05-2:20 p.m. Both adults were on the tower. First the male took off and headed south. Then the female took off in the same direction and I saw one chick watching its mother leave.
July 12 CyclistBarb 0 N 2 young standing
Note: 12:55-1:30 p.m. I watched from the parking lot across from the fire hall and also from Mt Joy Rd. I could see the two big chicks best from Mt Joy Rd as it is on a higher level although not quite at eye level with this tall "fake tree" tower. I did not see either adult today.
August 2 CyclistBarb 0 N 2 young standing
Note: 11:00-11:15 a.m. I watched from Mt Joy Rd. Almost as soon as I had my camera and scope set up, I saw two big fledglings sitting tall on the nest. Then, one flew off. Immediately its sibling followed it and flew off in the same direction (toward the river). I heard lots of calling by these two fledglings but never saw the adults.
