lost_bird
Description
This is a brand new platform that must have been built to replace the old one that must have been destroyed over the winter when the bay probably froze over. The old one was at the tip of Palmer Island in New Bedford Harbor, not far from the Palmer Island Lighthouse. The new one is slightly to the north?west and appears to be on higher ground on the island. Keeping them the same on OspreyWatch so as not to lose the nest history for that location.

| Note: | This is a brand new platform close to where the old one was, but must have been lost over the winter. Observed one bird sitting on a pretty bare platform so maybe the mate has not returned yet. | ||||||

OspreyWatch is managed by The Center for Conservation Biology. The project was developed in an attempt to bring together a global community of observers to collect information for the common good. The project is unfunded and, as such, has been created and managed by unpaid staff and volunteers. Please help support the dedicated individuals who maintain the project.
