Note: Nest is there and I saw 2 ospreys last week but none today.
April 17 Alan R. 2 N N
April 20 Joanie 2 N N
Note: One Ospey in nest and one on nearby pole
April 24 Joanie 2 N N
Note: Two ospreys in nest. One flew out and was flying in the area. It looked like another osprey circling around nearby.
April 28 Joanie 2 N N
Note: 1 osprey flew into nest and another on to a nearby pole. I couldn't see clearly if he had a fish or not.
May 1 Joanie 1 N N
Note: No osprey in nest. Seemed to be the male sitting on pole.
May 6 Alan R. 2 N N
Note: I saw two osprey standing side bi side on the edge of the nest about 2 weeks later I saw one osprey fly to the nest and promptly fy off In the next several weeks with one or more checks per week I have never seen an osprey againI About 3-4 weeks after first siting I saw a red tail hawk on a high perch about 150 yards from the nest. I wondered if the red tail had attacked or frightened the osprey. A resident who lives near the nest told me that the red tail is often around that area.
May 7 Joanie 1 N N
Note: I went by once and saw a large osprey on a pole and none in the nest and then went again a few hours later and saw an osprey eating a fish on a different pole. I'm not sure if it was the same osprey as before but looked like it might be.
May 11 Joanie 1 N N
Note: 1 osprey came flying into the nest. Flapped the wings a few times and then flew off circling around the area a bit and then took off.
May 20 Joanie 1 N N
Note: Osprey on pole but there might have been an osprey in the nest. It is a deep nest but sometimes I thought I caught a glimpse of a feather who head popping out.
May 25 Joanie 2 N N
Note: When I arrived, there was an osprey on a pole that flew down and I don't know where he surfaced but then there were 2 ospreys in the sky. One landed on a different pole. I couldn't see clearly but I'm pretty sure there was a wing moving in the nest.
June 5 Joanie 2 N N
Note: 1 osprey in nest chirping and another on a nearby pole.
June 5 Joanie 2 N N
June 11 Joanie 2 U N incubation
Note: Female in nest in incubation posture and a male on post nearby with a fish. Female was chirping in the nest. I didn't see any eggs but I'm guessing there are from her position
June 17 Joanie 1 U N incubation
Note: female in nest. no chirping heard. No male in sight.
June 25 Joanie 2 U N incubation
Note: Female in nest in with head sticking out more than normal. She was chirping and I noticed an osprey in the sky above soaring. He never came to the nest.
July 4 Joanie 2 N 1 feeding, young standing
Note: I only saw one nestling but there could be 2. Looked like another was being fed while the other one was just watching.
July 23 Joanie 0 N 2 young standing
Note: Looked to be 2 fledglings. Saw one fly into the nest to join another and then fly out and sit on a pole. S/he flew back in again and then the other either flew off again or was lying low in the nest because when I turned my back and looked again there was only 1. There was a fair amount of chirping.
July 27 Joanie 0 N 2 young standing
Note: Observed 2 fledglings in nest. One flew to a nearby pole and was chirping while there. The second one also flew out of the nest a short time afterward and circled around flying higher than the first one and then came back to the nest.
August 12 Joanie 0 N 2 young standing
Note: Just drove by briefly and saw the 2 fledglings in the nest.
August 14 Joanie 0 N 1 young standing
Note: One fledgling was in the nest and chirping a lot. She (I believe) flew to a nearby pole and stayed there. Lots of construction noise!
