HHI Osprey Watch
Description
Although this nest was mentioned in 2025, it was not added to the project until March 2026. It is located near nest 7757 in a tall pine. One observer believes this may be the pair that had a nest by the benches in the preserve but abandoned that in 2024.

| Note: | Jack C reports: 12716 I saw no activity on nest but an osprey circled low around the area and then flew over the lake. Bob S. said he had seen an osprey on the nest and another delivered a fish two days earlier. So I assume it is active. It is a large deep nest. NOTE: We are assuming that incubation is continuing. Listed 1 osprey because that was what Jack saw when observing, although another birder spotted two. Incubation seems confirmed by the updates. | ||||||

| Note: | Jack C reports: 12716 Osprey on side of nest, I believe female. When I approached she flew to a nearby branch and continued to vocalize vigorously. I suspect she has hatchlings. NOTE: Based on observation and timing, we are assuming hatching has occurred and there is at least 1 nestling. Hatching probably occurred between May 15th and May 30. Based on other observations, we will estimate hatching happened about May 18th. | ||||||
