| Note: | Both parents were fending off what look to me like Eastern King birds. The birds were dive bombing the nest when the female was sitting with her chick. She started defending the nest and the male arrived to help her. I watched the behavior for 45 minutes. | ||||||

| Note: | Female osprey was noticeably distressed as I checked on her during the heat wave. She was calling out and agitated, moving from light pole to light pole but not returning to the nest. I was afraid the nestling may have perished. | ||||||
