Date Nest Watcher Adults Eggs Young Observations
April 15 6293 UD Marine Ops 2 N 3 incubation, feeding, young standing
Note: Same pair is back! Low effort and quality nest building. Breeding activity. Arrived mid-late March. 7/1/24 - Three young had been observed from time to time. One large, one medium, and one very small. Recently only the large and small one. Today what appears to have been the largest young was seen dead and decomposing on the ground near the nest. The weekend was very windy with storms, it may have blown out of the nest. This pair does not make a very protective nest. Today the male is on his perch on the radar mast, the female appears to be hunkered down in the nest protecting her last young from the continued wind.
