| Note: | One adult got a fish from the river and ate it while perched on the empty platform pole adjacent to the nest platform. An hour later an adult osprey was on the nest, standing up very tall with wings raised and flapping, tail up. Another adult flew a few small circles nearby and then flew very close to the one on the nest, getting it to fly off the nest on the second pass. The one that had been on the nest landed on the nearby power pole and perched there, watching the chaser fly off. The nest was used last year and looks the same as it has all winter, mostly intact but in need of some sprucing up. | ||||||

OspreyWatch is managed by The Center for Conservation Biology. The project was developed in an attempt to bring together a global community of observers to collect information for the common good. The project is unfunded and, as such, has been created and managed by unpaid staff and volunteers. Please help support the dedicated individuals who maintain the project.
