May 4 12090 mferreira 2 U N incubation
May 4 12282 mferreira 0 N N
Note: No osprey activity observed, possible it was abandoned due to proximity of the other osprey nest on the soccer fields, but could have just missed them. Comparison of pictures after 1 week do show more sticks were added.
May 4 12087 mferreira 2 U N incubation
Note: Likely incubating. One osprey was observed very close by on a light pole eating a fish, then flew up to the nest to join the other osprey.

May 29 12087 mferreira 1 U U incubation
June 4 12090 mferreira 2 U N incubation
Note: One osprey flew in with fish for the other to eat. Unclear if Osprey was eating the food itself or feeding nestlings, but no nestlings could be observed (so assuming still incubating for now)
June 4 12087 mferreira 1 U U incubation
June 15 12089 mferreira 2 U 1 incubation, feeding
Note: Male standing on light, then brought over food to nest. Female osprey observed in nest and also one small nestling head seen!
June 15 12090 mferreira 1 U U
Note: Adult osprey standing on edge of nest, no visible nestlings during observation
June 15 12282 mferreira 1 U U incubation
Note: Female sitting on nest very vocal, then flew off nest in a circle around field and back to nest, continuing vocalization, then went back to sitting on nest.
June 15 12087 mferreira 1 U U incubation

Note: 1 adult seen standing on the side of nest, nestlings not visible today
June 20 12090 mferreira 1 U U
Note: Osprey sitting in center of nest, calling to another Osprey flying by. Not sure if calling to mate or one of the neighboring Osprey. No nestlings visible
June 20 12282 mferreira 2 U U incubation
Note: Osprey incubating/brooding calling to mate who flew by and into trees across baseball field.
June 20 12087 mferreira 2 U U incubation
Note: Sitting to side of nest, eventually moved towards center, preening. Male returned with fish, though unclear if feeding the female or if they were feeding any nestlings (no young were visible)
June 27 12089 mferreira 1 U 1 feeding, young standing
Note: Only observed adult feeding one nestling, couldn’t see any others. Observed feeding for about 5 minutes total, and was still doing so at the end of the window
June 27 12090 mferreira 2 U 2 feeding, young standing
Note: Feeding at least two chicks. Male sitting across the field on another pole
June 27 12282 mferreira 0 U U
Note: No osprey observed in 10 minute window
June 27 12087 mferreira 1 U U incubation
Note: Female sitting on nest, very alert, no nestlings seen
July 5 12089 mferreira 1 U 2 young laying down
July 5 12282 mferreira 2 U U
Note: One adult sitting in nest, flew away. Went to check other nests and upon returning saw the two adults on neighboring light pole. No sign of young.
July 5 12090 mferreira 2 U 2 young standing
Note: Male on pole across from nest with fish, female on nest with young. One nestling stood up on the edge of the nest.
July 5 12319 mferreira 2 U U
Note: Two osprey sitting on this shabby nest together. Seems incredibly unlikely there are any eggs—nest and sticks have collapsed into center of light.
July 5 12087 mferreira 2 U U
Note: One adult osprey eating a fish in the BH parking lot, the other flew off the nest as I arrived. No visible young during check
July 10 12089 mferreira 1 N 2 young standing
Note: 1 adult on nest with young, 2 young visible, stretching wings and looking alert
July 13 12282 mferreira 2 U U
Note: Very vocal female sitting on nest. The male, or another osprey, landed on a pole across the 1st field to eat a fish but did not bring it to her. Upon returning from checking the main complex nest, she was still vocalizing (peeps and chittering). No sign of young
July 13 12090 mferreira 2 N 2 feeding, young standing
Note: Heard osprey before seeing them! Very loud today, female vocalizing on nest with young, male was across the field with food. He brought the food over to them and observed feeding, 2 young could be seen during observation. Also 3-4 other osprey flying above, male sunning and vocalizing in response to the other osprey
July 13 12087 mferreira 0 U U
Note: No osprey observed today
July 20 12089 mferreira 2 N 3 young standing
Note: Lots of activity, one adult osprey on light post across field. Another osprey above on parking lot light—after observation with binoculars, looked like a likely recent fledge. Eyes were more orange, feathers more scaled, and it seemed to be practicing flapping on the pole. Looking at nest, it looked like there was an adult with two of the other young. One young was practicing flapping and hovered above the nest several times.
July 20 12282 mferreira 1 N N
Note: Four Osprey flying high above, one on the nest upon arrival but flew off.
July 20 12089 mferreira 1 N 2 young laying down
Note: One adult on one of the light poles calling at the other nearby osprey overhead. Saw a glimpse of two young in the nest briefly.
July 20 12087 mferreira 0 N N
July 24 11790 mferreira 2 U U
Note: One osprey very vocal. Another left and brought a stick back to nest. Both sitting in the nest, then the osprey who did not bring the stick left to hunt
July 26 12089 mferreira 2 N 3 young standing
Note: All three young have fledged! One adult on nest with a fledgling who took a lap around the field and returned to the nest. The other two were flying around by surrounding houses, ultimately perched on the backstop. Another adult high in the communications tower.
July 26 12282 mferreira 2 U U
Note: Both osprey in nest but flew off
July 26 12090 mferreira 2 N 2 young standing
Note: One fledgling was seen on a pole—unsure if this is a third young for the nest that was not previously noted or an unrelated young bird. Unsure so I only marked the two confirmed young. Was begging. Other two on the nest also calling out, adult nearby had a fish. At one point there was the young bird and two other adults sitting on one pole, but the Osprey with the fish (presumably the parent) came through and began to chase the intruders away (not the young bird). Proceeded to chase the other multiple Osprey (there is always a lot of activity by this nest with the nearby unproductive nests)
July 26 12087 mferreira 2 U U
Note: Two osprey were on the nest upon arrival, both looking towards center of nest. One left, the other sat in brooding position for a while, but also left the nest. Still no sign of successful nest.
August 3 12089 mferreira 0 N N
Note: No osprey seen, as of last check all had fledged.
August 3 12090 mferreira 2 N 2 feeding, young standing
Note: Adult brought a fish to one young osprey in the nest, the other fledgling had been on a pole and flew over to get the food. Observed some fighting over the food between the fledglings, the other adult was on the far field light pole
August 3 12282 mferreira 0 N N
August 3 12087 mferreira 0 N N
August 9 12089 mferreira 0 N 1 young standing

Note: 1 adult on light pole 1 fledgling in the nest, preening Another adult flew by and the fledgling began to beg, but the adult didn’t have food
August 9 12087 mferreira 0 N N
Note: No osprey seen
August 16 12089 mferreira 1 N N
Note: Adult on tall tower
August 16 12090 mferreira 1 N 1 young standing
Note: Adult on far light pole, fledgling on nest
August 16 12282 mferreira 2 N N
Note: Two adults spending time in the nest again
August 16 12087 mferreira 2 N N
Note: One adult (male) was sitting alone, second (female) arrived and was in a posture that looked protective of food etc, wings up and hunched. Male appeared to try to copulate
