Date Nest Watcher Adults Eggs Young Observations
April 26 11933 soph_the_birder 2 N N
Note: Monitored the nest 9:35AM-9:48AM on 4/26/2025; weather was 58F & raining/cloudy Upon arriving at the nest site, I observed an osprey (I believe male) flying around the nest with a fish. This osprey landed on the edge of the nest, and a second osprey (I believe female) emerged from within the nest & also perched on the edge. It then looked like the first osprey took flight, hovering above the nest, while the second osprey moved over to grab the fish. The first osprey re-landed on the nest & the second one took off with the fish. A few moments after the second osprey departed, a third osprey flew in towards the nest. The osprey now in the nest emerged & flew towards this third osprey, looking to be defending the nest & driving this third osprey away. After this conflict, the original osprey landed back in the nest & was not visible to me for the rest of the time. I am not going to say whether or not eggs are suspected to be present at this time due to the weather, but will follow up next week if the ospreys are still sitting low/non-visible once within the nest.

Note: Monitored the nest from 6:26-6:41PM, weather was 73F & sunny with a slight breeze When we first arrived we saw an osprey flying around the area, but it did not fly to the nest so I cannot say if this is an osprey from Hasbro nest for certain. We did not see any osprey activity at the nest during this monitoring session, just saw some European Starlings sitting below & on top of the nest.

Note: Monitored the nest from 6:13-6:20AM Temperature was 49F, conditions were rainy / cloudy No ospreys were seen at or around the nest, just smaller birds flying around the nest/tower.

Note: nest observed from 3:21PM to 3:44PM, temperature was 71F & conditions were cloudy/windy A few minutes after arriving, an osprey glided in & landed on the edge of the nest; the osprey perched on the side of the nest for a few minutes, flew across to the other side of the nest, then took off again & flew off. I did not see a second osprey in the nest, but when the first osprey landed on the side he was looking down into nest, so I believe the second bird is likely in the nest incubating eggs, and because of the angle I cannot see the head or rest of the bird within the nest.

Note: Nest observed from 5:21-5:35PM, temperature was 59F with partly cloudy conditions When we arrived an osprey was sitting on the tower structure to the side of the nest. After a few minutes, the osprey flew up & landed on the edge of nest, climbing down inside it. The osprey then flew back up & landed back on the tower structure with what looked like a piece of a fish. After a few minutes, the osprey flew back to edge of nest, landed, then flew off from the nest. The osprey then circled back, landed on the platform below the nest, and looked to be eating whatever he flew off with. He stayed here for the rest of the time.

Note: Monitored the nest from 6:50PM-6:58PM, temperature was 75F & partly cloudy/smoky. When I first arrived, I could see the top of one of the adult osprey's heads peeking out from the top of the nest. After about a minute & a half, they ducked back down into the nest, & I did not observe any additional activity for the rest of the time I was there. This is the first time I have seen the osprey within the nest, so I think this may be an indication the eggs have hatched.

Note: Nest observed from 5:17PM to 5:27PM, temperature was 70F and partly cloudy When I arrived at the nest there was one osprey visible sitting on the cell tower to the side of the nest. This osprey remained perched here the entire time, shaking & stretching his wings throughout my time there. I did not see another osprey, or any young.

Note: Nest observed from 4:15-4:24PM, temperature was 89F & hazy/partly cloudy When I arrived one osprey was once again sitting on a pole of the cell tower to the side of the nest. The osprey was perched there, but after a few minutes it started raising/flapping its wings & had its beak open. I put my binoculars down & looked around & saw another osprey flying near the nest. The osprey in flight flew near the nest but just continued on its way, and then the osprey on the cell tower went back to just perching. At 4:23 the original osprey took off from tower, flew towards the shopping center, then circled back & flew to land on the fell tower on the other side of the nest. I did not see any movement from within the nest at this time.
June 28 11933 soph_the_birder 2 N 2 feeding, young standing
Note: Nest observed from 10:54-11:11AM, temperature was 68F with cloudy/drizzly conditions When I arrived, an adult osprey was sitting in the same spot as last week on the cell tower to the side of the nest. After a few minutes, a juvenile osprey emerged from the nest & perched on the side of the nest. The juvenile was fairly active, moving around the edge of the nest while stretching wings and preening. This juvenile returned to within the nest, and then two juveniles emerged & were standing on the edge of the nest flapping / stretching their wings. The adult osprey sitting to the side of the nest suddenly flew up & onto the edge of the nest, opening & closing their beak. The second adult osprey then flew into the nest with a fish in their talons, landing on the edge of the nest next to the other adult osprey. They both entered the nest, all four birds within, and then after a few minutes one of the adults flew off & away from the nest.
July 9 11933 soph_the_birder 1 N 2 young standing
Note: Nest observed from 1:52-2:00PM, conditions 76F & cloudy / drizzly When I arrived one adult osprey was perched on the cell tower structure to the side of the nest, and two juvenile ospreys were moving around within the nest. The adult remained perched on the cell tower the entire time, while the juveniles moved around within the nest & along the edge of the nest throughout my visit.
July 20 11933 soph_the_birder 0 N 3 young standing
Note: Nest observed from 6:32-6:37PM, conditions 79F & mostly cloudy Three juvenile osprey observed moving around within the nest, very vocal throughout the observation period.
August 3 11933 soph_the_birder 0 N 2 young standing
Note: Nest observed from 1:58PM to 2:05PM, conditions were 83F and partly cloudy / hazy When I arrived at the nest I observed two juvenile ospreys perched on the cell tower around the nest. Both remained perched in the same spots the entire visit, stretching their wings & looking around.
August 10 11933 soph_the_birder 0 N 1 young standing
Note: Nest observed from 2:41PM-2:46PM, conditions were 86F and partly cloudy. When I arrived one juvenile osprey was perched on the cell tower to the side of the nest. The juvenile osprey remained there for the entire visit, looking around but not moving from perch.
