Note: Female hovering over nest in defensive posture, wings out in covering pose, another osprey flew in, talons out, and attacked the osprey. Female left the nest and circled a while, as did the other osprey. 2 others circling at a distance. Female returned, similar behavior, another attempted attack, another flight away. Female never returned to nest, no sign of male, no sign of any young!
