Note: | Incubation began mid-April or earlier...female very attentive...hatched at least two, maybe three in the last week of May...one or two died within the first days...the last lived for at least three weeks (died ~ week of 23 June)...that last week of June, female seemed stressed (heat dome?)...lots of fluid drooling from beak...nestling still alive...lots of vocalizations...male?...nestling body on pier in early July... | ||||||
