Description

This nest is at the top of a utility pole in Bluffton, behind the Tanger 2 Outlets on Bluffton Parkway. Note: This nest has been visible the last couple years, but was not monitored by this project. There was osprey activity around the nest in 2023.

Note: Karen R reports: was parked across the street from one of my nests … low and behold one osprey flew and landed on the right hand side (see photo) a minute later another osprey flew to the left hand side but did not stay very long … neither one had any nest material… that’s all she wrote on Feb 16th at 11:30 am! Note: Karen R reports: saw two adult osprey flying around and then landing in nest on March 20th. It will be difficult to see any nest activity as nest is on back side of light pole fixture approximately 150 yards up in the air.

Note: Carol M reports: Happy to report that my 2 osprey are back, they spent a week hanging out and have built a beautiful new nest in 3 days. Mom is in the nest but don’t know if there are eggs.
