HHI Osprey Watch
Description
Two platforms were erected in the same yard in early 2019. The first was to replace the fallen nest branch of a long tern nesting pair. At the same time, a second platform was added in another near by pine. This second platform is in the far RIGHT side of the back yard near the lagoon. This pair is named Tally and Pinely

June 27 | HHI Osprey Watch | 0 | U | 1
Note: | Carol U reports: today had a bird on a branch and nothing in the nest. It may be the fledgling—I can’t really tell from the distance I’m taking from. It appears smaller than the adults.
June 29 | HHI Osprey Watch | 1 | U | 1 | young standing
Note: | 2 osprey in nest (see photo) . It appears the one on the right may be a fledgling based on size & feather colorations. The nest is too high to get a photo detailing eye color (iPhone camera used). There was what appeared to be a young osprey the day before on a branch, but again, the iPhone is not able to capture detail. |
