Description
Platform Built on the shoreline in September, 1991. Sticks added to platform in 1997. April, 1998 a pair of osprey check out perch and begin building nest—no chicks. In March of 1999 the osprey pair return and on May 26, two chicks hatch. The chicks fledge on July 20, 1999. Alas, after sixteen years, the original pair do not return in 2015. Their presumed offspring are attempting to make a home of Emory's Nest. Nest failed as a result of Hurricane Michael, October 2018. New Platform built on same site as old one in Fall, 2020. On March 28, 2021, a new pair are seen checking it out. The new pair start making a new nest on the platform, April 8, 2021
