Description
Santee Cooper tower at end of Power Alley. Follow the Power Alley Road to the end. It will dead end in front of 2 fences; one straight ahead and one to the left. The tower is best seen from the left fence. NOTE: This nest has not been monitored since 2021 during which time it was unproductive. In July 2026, ospreys were sighted at and near the nest. It is not known if this was a productive nest in 2026. It will be regularly monitored during the 2027 season.

| Note: | Joanne V reports: This nest has only recently been observed (last time was in 2021). The monitor of a nearby nest noticed activity around this nest. Mary K and I observed the nest this morning. There was one osprey in the nest which looked to be an adult. A closer look later in the morning revealed 2 ospreys (presumably adults) were in the nest. One flew away and shortly thereafter, the other flew away as well. It is not known if this nest was productive this year or if it was just visited by a pair. There are 4 other osprey nests in close vicinity of this nest. Until this nest is monitored on a consistent basis next season, it cannot be determined if the pair seen today were from this nest or another. | ||||||
