Description
Nest in crotch of tree visible from backyard of 8 Scaup Ct. In 2025 a visitor reported this nest very late in the season so we have no data. A member of the Hilton Head group did verify the nest location in August 2025, but no osprey were visible. It has been added to the project and will be monitored by the HHI group for 2026. This pair has been named Zeus (m) and Hera (f).

This nest was first discovered toward the end of the 2025 season so no data has been recorded as yet. Today an osprey was heard nearby and briefly seen flying out of a nearby tree. | Note: | Joanne V reports: This morning, I used a zoom lens to view the nest from several different angles. No ospreys were sighted and no sounds were heard coming from the nest. NOTE: this is the first year this nest has been in the program. No data is therefore available from previous years. The only information known from 2025 is a renter next door reported on the HHI Audubon facebook page that she had been observing an active nest there. That was in late July. | ||||||
