Date Watcher Adults Eggs Young Observations Photo Edit
April 6 RIBELLS 2 N N
Note: It’s possible there are eggs. The couple have been very active. For example, the male brought the female a fish which she took to a different light post. She ate the fish while he sat on the nest. He then came over five minutes later
April 14 RIBELLS 0 N N
Note: I waited half an hour but the pair I watched last week did not visit the nest during my watch
April 23 RIBELLS 2 N N
Note: Eggs are possible but best guess not yet
April 28 RIBELLS 2 Y N
Note: There is a third osprey coming around with the other. They seem to be after each other. The female flies with them as if supporting one of the two. We have not witnessed the female get fed
May 3 RIBELLS 2 U N
May 13 2 U N incubation Add Photo Edit
May 18 RIBELLS 2 Y N incubation
Note: Male came to feed the female
May 28 RIBELLS 2 U N incubation
Note: Male brought fish to nest. Female at in nest, possibly sharing with young but not visible. She had been taking the fish to another light post to eat
June 5 RIBELLS 2 U N
Note: Both male and female present
June 14 RIBELLS 1 U N
June 19 RIBELLS 2 N U feeding
Note: Watched for 45 minutes
June 29 RIBELLS 1 N 1 feeding, young standing
Note: Possible a second chick is in the nest but not seen
July 3 RIBELLS 0 N 1 young standing
Note: I watched for 45 minutes. The parents did not make a showing but the chick seemed to be resting comfortably. Assumption that both parents were foraging for food.
July 10 RIBELLS 0 N 1 young standing
Note: Watched a nestling for almost an hour. No parents visited but the young bird showed no sign of distress. Assumed the parents were out finding food.
July 24 RIBELLS 2 N 1 feeding, young laying down
Note: One adult and child were lying down in nest. The parents swapped as the other adult arrived with some food. The child ate.
August 1 RIBELLS 2 N 1 young standing
Note: The young one has fledged! Looking great with his parents. All flying about
