Note: Male in nest- female on log in marsh… Lots of Osprey action today- a pair sat across the water on the marsh, then two others were flying overhead, very close…Lots of vocalizing

Note: Several other ospreys in the immediate area, lots of vocalizing and warning calls- one Osprey had a fish in “hand” and the other bird were chasing him around the marsh area

Note: Very high water in the marsh, so the pair are both in the nest…usually one sits below on a log…Two ospreys directly across the marsh, sitting on fence poles

Note: Female was in the nest, eating a fish below her- then I heard very unusual chirps, and saw a glimpse of a tiny head. The male was below, on the marsh log where he frequently sits, eating fish…

Note: Female on edge of nest, flew off and quickly returned with clump OG grasses for the nest… Male was below eating a fish, flew up to nest with fish, female ate briefly then began feeding chicks(s) Briefly disturbed by 3rd Osprey flying closely overhead- lots of warning calls

Note: After the 3 brutally hot days this week I was so concerned about this nest… things seem ok

Note: The chicks have grown so much in the week- two were trying to stretch and flap their wings

Note: Female was feeding chicks, male flew off - within minutes another Osprey from across the marsh ( had been sitting on a piling), flew over to harass the female - she raised her wings, flapped furiously, and called out loudly- successfully fended off the intruder very quickly
