Date Nest Watcher Adults Eggs Young Observations
April 2 9471 CaptMikeO 2 N N
April 2 9472 CaptMikeO 2 N N
April 2 1677 CaptMikeO 2 N N
Note: Female has been on nest a lot the past two days, but is not incubating. She should lay any day now.
April 2 1670 CaptMikeO 2 N N
Note: Female close to laying eggs.
April 2 2297 CaptMikeO 2 N N
April 17 9616 CaptMikeO 2 N N
Note: This pair was incubating, and the nest fell in a recent wind storm.
April 17 1670 CaptMikeO 2 U N incubation
April 17 1652 CaptMikeO 2 U N incubation
April 24 9652 CaptMikeO 2 N N
Note: This is more than likely an existing pair of osprey with a new nest site.
April 24 9653 CaptMikeO 2 N N
April 26 9653 CaptMikeO 2 U N incubation
April 26 9616 CaptMikeO 2 N N
July 21 9652 CaptMikeO 2 N N
Note: This pair incubated for a long time, but ultimately failed. This new nest (for returning/existing pair) had a bunch of vines intrude around the nest, and perhaps that is why they failed.
July 21 9471 CaptMikeO 2 N N
Note: This pair incubated for a while, but never hatched eggs and are still around, but not on the nest.
July 21 1670 CaptMikeO 2 N 3
Note: Two of the three young osprey have fledged and the one left should fledge anytime now.
July 21 9472 CaptMikeO 2 N N
Note: This second year pair failed again this year. They are around, but not on the nest. They continued to build their nest deep into the egg laying period, and eventually, the female seemed to incubate for a very short time. No activity, other than perching on the nest.
July 21 9653 CaptMikeO 2 N N
Note: Pair is around, but no activity on the nest, not even perching. The new nest site for returning/existing pair is covered in vines.
July 21 9616 CaptMikeO 2 N N
Note: This long running pair had their nest fall on April 15, during incubation. Theyt rebuilt a new one and was incubating a clutch by April 25. Amazingly fast it seemed. They incubated for a long time on the second nest but ultimately failed. Possible vine intrusion again on this nest site, as it is far away, but the entire tree from bottom to top is covered thick in vines.
July 21 2297 CaptMikeO 2 U 2 incubation, feeding, young standing
Note: This long time pair is having success with two young on the nest. I don't believe either has fledged and it's been a few days since seeing them.
July 22 1677 CaptMikeO 2 2 2 incubation, feeding
Note: Two male osprey fledged between July 15-20. The channel marker number is actually Red 150, not Red 158.
July 22 9866 CaptMikeO 2 U U incubation, feeding
Note: Not sure if there is one or two fledglings from this nest, but there is at least one. Will take a longer look next time.
July 22 9867 CaptMikeO 2 U N incubation
Note: Don't know if eggs ever hatched, but nest has failed and adults are not on the nest, but are around it still.
